Privacy Policy

This page describes, in plain language, what TrialTracker actually collects, why, and how it's handled. TrialTracker is a small, free tool for tracking free trials and recurring subscriptions and sending you reminder emails before they renew.
Information we collect
- Account information: the name, email address, and password you provide when you register. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
- Trial and subscription information you enter: product name, vendor, cost, trial end date or renewal date, billing recurrence (monthly or yearly), and any notes you add.
We do not collect payment card details, and TrialTracker never connects to your bank or card accounts.
How we use this information
- To show you your own dashboard of trials and subscriptions.
- To calculate potential monthly spend across what you've entered.
- To send you automatic reminder emails 7 days and 1 day before a trial ends or a subscription renews, to your account email address.
Each account can only see, edit, delete, or export its own data. We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't sell or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Email delivery
Reminder emails are sent through Resend, a transactional email provider, using our verified sending domain. Resend processes the email address, subject, and message body needed to deliver that one email.
Hosting and storage
The application and its PostgreSQL database are hosted on Railway. Data you enter is stored in that database for as long as your account exists.
Sessions and cookies
TrialTracker uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. This cookie is essential to the app working and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Basic server logging and site analytics
Our hosting provider (Railway) keeps standard runtime logs (such as request/response status) for operating and debugging the service. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics on our public pages, a cookieless analytics service that reports aggregate traffic (such as page views) without setting cookies or tracking individuals across other sites.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete individual trials or subscriptions at any time from your dashboard. To request deletion of your entire account and its data, see the Contact page.
Changes to this policy
If how TrialTracker handles data changes, this page will be updated to reflect that.
